Leather gradually loses its softness with use, heat and sunlight. A leather conditioner applied regularly helps keep it supple and less prone to drying and cracking. Balsamio Conditioning Balm is a cream conditioner in a pump bottle: you dispense a small, even amount, massage it in, and buff. It is designed as the second step after cleaning with Balsamio Leather Cleaner.

Why a cream balm in a pump

Leather conditioner works best in thin layers. Too much product leaves a greasy, sticky surface that attracts dust. A pump gives you a measured amount every time, and the cream texture spreads evenly without dripping — useful on vertical surfaces like sofa backs and car seat bolsters.

Which leather it’s for

• Finished / pigmented leather — most sofas, armchairs and car seats
• Semi-aniline leather
• Aniline leather — spot-test first, as unfinished leather can darken

How to use

1. Start with clean, dry leather. Conditioning over dirt seals it in. Clean first, then let the leather dry.
2. Spot-test on a hidden area and check it after it dries.
3. Apply a thin layer. Pump a small amount onto a sponge or soft cloth and massage it in with circular motions, one section at a time.
4. Let it absorb, then buff lightly with a clean microfiber cloth.

How often to condition

What is the difference between a leather cleaner and a leather conditioner?

A cleaner removes dirt and body oils; a conditioner goes on afterwards to help keep the leather soft. They do different jobs — see leather cleaner vs conditioner.

Can I use too much conditioner?

Yes. Excess product sits on the surface and can feel tacky. Use a thin layer and buff off anything that hasn’t absorbed.

Will it darken my leather?

Aniline and other unfinished leathers can darken with any conditioner, which is why we always recommend a spot-test first.

Is it for suede?

No. Do not use it on suede or nubuck.
